FAQs
  • What is an Escape Room
An escape room is a leisure activity that lasts a maximum of 1 and a half hours - up to 60 minutes within the room, 15 minutes before and after to brief and debrief the team. Each room will be themed to a storyline and objective, which can range from find an object, to escape the room before something bad happens. Most rooms can be played with two to six players, but some may require more depending on difficulty. An escape room is completed by solving puzzles, finding clues and items that could unlock further regions or items until the objective is complete. There is a clue system which can range from a walkie-talkie, clues on a TV screen, or scanning a QR Code, where the Games Host can give you help, advice, or tips if you are stuck or need a direction.
  • Who Are Chase The Adventure Escape Rooms
Chase the Adventure Escape Rooms are based in Staffordshire and have an overarching theme of 1940s action/adventure. This means that each room will be themed within that idea so you may get sent to retrieve an artefact from a Mayan temple using tools and equipment they'd have in the 1940s, or become a spy to infiltrate a group and retrieve important documents before they fall into the wrong hands. Taking inspiration from such adventures like Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise, The Mummy etc, Chase The Adventure want to immerse you into that time period and let you feel the thrill of being an adventurer. The Games Hosts will be in character to fully absorb you into the fun of the games so you leave feeling ready to take on anything.
  • Accessibility
We are currently in the process of getting ready and will be able to provide accessibility information soon. Each room contains themed music, which can be turned off if requested.
  • Is The Room Locked
The door in and out of the escape room will never be locked and you will be free to leave if you wish, although you may not be allowed back in and the time will continue to count down. Some rooms may contain areas that are locked or you may be attached to something within the room, but this will be explained beforehand and will only happen with consent.
  • How Much Does It Cost
Pricing is dependent on the number of players and are as follows: 2 Players - £40 (£20 each) 3 Players - £60 (£20 each) 4 Players - £76 (£19 each) 5 Players - £85 (17 each) 6 Players - £90 (£15 each) This can be paid in advance by booking on the website, or in person for walk-in games. We accept card or cash on site. It is recommended you book in advance to secure the time and day you want to play.
  • Do I Need To Bring Anything
If you require reading glasses, bring them along as there will be things to read or decode within each room. Some rooms may require ducking, climbing, or crawling so trousers are generally better for ease of movement.
  • When Should I Arrive
Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time of your game. This allows time to settle in before receiving your brief and enables to game to run on time. If you think you are going to be late, please call, text, or whatsapp us as soon as you know. If you are more than 10 minutes late, you may not be able to play. If this happens, you will not be issued a refund. You may be able to play at a different time that day, availability allowing.
  • What Is The Age Range For The Rooms
Most people that play escape rooms are adults and so the puzzles in our escape rooms are designed with this in mind. Our games are not designed for groups where the majority of players are under 15. The games are particularly not suitable for groups of children under 13. We do not offer any children’s party packages and there is no waiting area. Children do enjoy playing escape rooms when they are involved as part of a larger family group. Where a child is playing as part of a family group we recommend a minimum age of 7. Children under that age are likely to run out of things to do during the hour-long experience. There are no separate child prices, all players in the escape room pay the same price. For any group where there are children less than 16 years old there must be a paying adult in the room and maximum team sizes for the room cannot be exceeded. This is an insurance requirement and is therefore mandatory.
